*Media Advisory* Rowley Police to Host “Coffee with the Chief” Event

ROWLEY — The Rowley Police Department is pleased to invite the community to meet newly appointed Chief Scott Dumas during their “Coffee with the Chief” event next weekend.

Chief Dumas, who has 20 years of experience as a police officer, left the Rochester, N.H. Police Department as Deputy Police Chief in order to take the helm of the Rowley Police Department in March. He graduated from Auburn University at Montgomery, where he received a bachelor’s degree in justice and public safety, and has a master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in administrative leadership. Additionally, Chief Dumas is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and recently earned a life-saving award for administering CPR to an unresponsive individual while off duty.

“I have received a warm welcome since I took over at the Rowley Police Department and have enjoyed getting to know the community,” Chief Dumas said. “I’m looking forward to meeting the citizens and business owners of Rowley and encourage all to stop by and say hello.”
