Chief’s Message

Sir Robert Peel’s Nine Principles on Policing are as relevant today as they were when he wrote them in 1829. As you read through each principle, it is evident the foundation of policing is solid.  Peel’s seventh Principle, “Police, at all times, should maintain a relationship with the public that gives reality to historic tradition that the police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full-time attention to the duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence”, outlines the collectiveness of community and the dependence we all have on each other.

I am honored to serve the citizens of the Town of Rowley as your Police Chief.  We are honored as a department to have the conditional but committed support of those we serve. I am also honored to lead this professional group of men and women.  We strive every day to live up to our Mission statement.  Please enjoy this website as a resource and commitment to the citizens of Rowley of our service.

Mission Statement

Citizens first in everything we do, through professionalism and continuous community engagement.
