Rowley Police Arrest Man after Child Pornography Investigation

ROWLEY — Chief Scott A. Dumas reports that after an aggressive and thorough investigation, the Rowley Police Department arrested a man today who allegedly viewed, possessed and distributed child pornography.

DARRYL MOORE, AGE 37, OF LYNN AND ROWLEY was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Dissemination of Child Pornography.

Rowley Police opened an investigation after detectives received information from a state task force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that child pornography distributed over the internet may have come from a computer in Rowley.

As the investigation unfolded, Rowley Police conducted a search warrant at MOORE’S Boxford Road residence earlier today, along with a search of his person at his place of employment in Danvers. He was then placed under arrest in Danvers.

Rowley Police received assistance from West Newbury Police, Georgetown Police, Newbury Police, Lynn Police and the Massachusetts State Police in conducting the investigation.

MOORE is being held on $100,000 cash bail at the Middleton House of Correction pending arraignment Wednesday at Newburyport District Court.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
