Rowley Police Investigating after Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Involving Pedestrian

ROWLEY — Chief Scott A. Dumas reports that the Rowley Police Department is investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late last night.

Rowley Police and Fire responded to a location on Haverhill Street at 11 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, rescuers found a 31-year-old Gloucester man who had been struck by a 2013 Subaru Impreza.

The victim was taken by medical helicopter to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead.

The driver, a 57-year-old Georgetown woman, remained on scene.

The crash is under investigation by the Rowley Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
